PKO bounty branch-value calculator

Compare folding with a deliberately simple two-outcome call model. This page’s code sends no network requests and does not use cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB.

Shared unit and branch inputs
F, W, B, H, and L must all be converted to this one unit before addition.
Not automatically raw hand equity; valid range is 0% through 100%.
W and L are complete continuation values, including all modeled future prizes, existing-bounty value, and later KOs, and already net of the call cost.
Use only what the event pays now, not the displayed total bounty unless identical.
Baseline 0. A future-state model may justify a positive or negative value; if W already includes that incremental transfer, keep H at zero.

At these inputs, call has the higher modeled value. This conclusion is only as sound as the supplied branch values and q.

On a narrow screen, focus the ledger region and scroll horizontally to read every column.

Four-row branch ledger. Only the two call-outcome rows are additive; the fold benchmark is separate and blended call EV is a subtotal that must not be added again.

Before using the number

This is off-table branch bookkeeping, not a hand solver or range recommendation. F, W, and L are complete continuation values including all modeled future prizes, existing-bounty value, and later KOs; W excludes only current B and any incremental transfer isolated as H. Ties, multiway pots, side pots, winning without eliminating, and not covering the bounty player need additional branches. PokerStars documents common PKO splits and exceptions; check the actual event rules. Never add values expressed in different units or count H again when W already includes it.

Formula: EV(call) = q(W + B + H) + (1 − q)L. When W + B + H − L is positive, break-even q = (F − L) / (W + B + H − L). A zero denominator has no unique threshold; a negative denominator reverses the inequality.
