Out-of-turn poker: six cases

Off-table study sheet. Use the event's adopted rules and the dealer or floor for an actual ruling. These are original teaching examples, not observed hands.

Profile: Poker TDA 2024 v1.0, checked (Europe/Oslo). No-limit Hold'em, blinds 100/200, turn action, adequate stacks and no all-ins. Clear declarations; prompt correction except Case 6. All amounts are tournament chips.

Case 1

Setup: A then B; no turn wager yet.

Early action: B bets 600 before A acts.

Then: A checks.

Case 6

Setup: A, B, C; no turn wager yet; A has reasonable time to object.

Early action: A is skipped; B bets 600; C calls; A remains silent until after both actions.

Then: Floor reviews A’s skipped hand.

Profile limits

These cases concern early wagers and folds. They do not settle passive out-of-turn actions under other profiles: the 2026 WSOP glossary adds a restriction for certain heads-up passive actions. Disputed timing, dealer prompts and ambiguous declarations require staff review.
