What exactly does "25% recurring for 12 months" mean?
For every subscriber you refer, you earn 25% of their subscription revenue every month for 12 months. If they stay for a year on our $30/month plan, that's $90 in commission per customer. Annual subscribers pay once — you earn 25% of that single annual charge.
How does the 60-day cookie work?
When a user clicks your link, we set a 60-day cookie in their browser. If they subscribe within 60 days — even if they leave, come back, or subscribe from a different session — you get credit. We use server-side attribution to survive iOS privacy restrictions, which most affiliate programs don't.
What if someone refunds or charges back?
Commissions are provisional for 30 days to match our refund window. If a referred user refunds within that period, the commission is reversed — standard practice in SaaS. After 30 days, the commission is locked in.
Do I earn commission on in-app purchases from the App Store or Google Play?
No — only on web purchases made at play.gtogecko.com. Apple and Google take 30% on in-app payments, which would leave no margin for us to pay commission. All your promotional links should route users to the web subscription flow. We'll give you the right URL when you join.
Can I run paid ads with my affiliate link?
Organic content (YouTube, TikTok, blogs, podcasts, newsletters): yes, absolutely. Paid ads: with restrictions. You can't bid on "GTO Gecko" brand keywords or use "free" framing in paid placements. Beyond that, talk to us — we'll often co-fund paid creative for top partners.
Is GTO Gecko a gambling product?
No. GTO Gecko is a skill-training and education product — think Duolingo for poker strategy. No real-money play, no wagering. This matters for your own platform compliance: Meta, TikTok, and Google treat training products very differently from gambling products, and you should market GTO Gecko accordingly.
How do I get paid?
PayPal, Wise (bank transfer), or USDC on-chain. Payouts run on NET-30 — commissions earned in a given calendar month are paid on or before the 30th of the following month. Minimum payout threshold: $50 (or $20 for PayPal). Amounts below threshold roll forward.
What assets will I have access to?
IAB-standard web banners, social graphics (square, story, reel), pre-written email swipes, tweet thread outlines, short-form video scripts with hook/problem/demo/CTA structure, and B-roll footage of the app you can overlay your own voice on. Silver-tier partners unlock co-branded bridge pages; Gold unlocks a fully custom landing page.
What's the tax situation?
US affiliates submit a W-9 at signup; we issue a 1099-NEC at year-end if you earn $600 or more. Non-US affiliates submit a W-8BEN (individuals) or W-8BEN-E (entities), valid for three years. Affiliates are responsible for their own tax filings in their country of residence; we don't provide tax advice.
