Privacy Policy
ICM Trainer
Last Updated: 24 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GTO Solutions AS ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use ICM Trainer (the "App"). The App is a poker study and training tool and does not offer real-money gambling or prizes.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Submit in a Bug Report
Sending an in-app bug report is optional. If you send one, we process:
- The free-text description you enter.
- An optional email address if you want us to follow up.
- The app version, platform, and device locale shown in the form before you submit.
- Any images or videos you choose to attach. Attachments may contain personal information visible in the file, so only attach content needed to explain the issue.
An email address you enter is also stored locally on your device to prefill a future report.
1.2 Local Data
The App stores training and preference data locally on your device, including:
- Training statistics and progress
- Push/fold decision history
- App settings and preferences
This local training data is not included in a bug report.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the App: Store settings and training progress on your device.
- Investigate feedback: Reproduce, diagnose, and fix reported problems.
- Follow up: Contact you about a report when you choose to provide an email address.
- Protect the service: Limit abuse and maintain the security and reliability of the feedback system.
We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. Service Providers and Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data or share it with advertising networks. We use the following providers to process optional bug reports:
3.1 Firebase and Google
Firebase Realtime Database temporarily queues the report, and Firebase Storage temporarily holds selected attachments. Firebase may also process a per-installation identifier, device and app metadata, IP address, and request metadata to deliver, maintain, analyze, and secure these services. See Privacy and Security in Firebase and Google's Privacy Policy.
3.2 GitHub
A private relay converts the submitted report into an issue in the private ICM Trainer development repository. The issue can contain the description, optional email, disclosed diagnostics, and chosen attachments. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.
4. Data Storage and Security
Training data and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Submitted reports use encrypted transport. Firebase client access is write-only, and GitHub issues created from reports are private to the development repository.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- You can use the App without submitting a bug report, email address, image, or video.
- You can clear local data by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling it.
- Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data connected to a submitted report.
6. Retention of Data
- Local data: Kept until you clear App storage or uninstall the App, subject to device backup behavior.
- Firebase feedback queue: Normally deleted after the private relay creates the GitHub issue. Failed or delayed reports remain queued until processing succeeds or we remove them. Feedback attachments are also covered by a 30-day automatic deletion rule; Google's seven-day soft-delete window may retain a recoverable copy temporarily after deletion.
- Private GitHub issues: Kept as long as reasonably necessary to investigate the report, maintain a development record, handle follow-up, and meet legal obligations.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information.
8. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy at this URL and update the date above.
