Does OmahaCalc work offline?

Yes. All hand ranking data is stored on your device. You can look up any hand without an internet connection after the initial download.

How are the equity values calculated?

Each hand's equity is computed using thousands of Monte Carlo simulation trials. The simulations evaluate heads-up performance versus a random opponent using proper PLO rules — exactly 2 hole cards combined with 3 board cards.

What is the difference between PLO5 and PLO6?

PLO5 deals each player 5 hole cards, while PLO6 deals 6 hole cards. In both variants, you must use exactly 2 of your hole cards and 3 board cards to make your best five-card hand. OmahaCalc covers both formats with full rankings.

How many hands are ranked?

OmahaCalc ranks over 130,000 unique PLO5 starting hands and over 960,000 unique PLO6 starting hands. Hands are grouped by suit-isomorphic equivalence classes to cover every possible deal.
