Choosing a PLO trainer is harder than choosing a Hold'em one, because the Omaha tools differ enormously in what they contain. Some ship a full postflop library, some are preflop only, and some are desktop solvers that make you build every tree yourself. Prices run from free to $399 a month.

Which PLO Trainer Should You Buy?

The answer depends on one thing more than any other: which Omaha variant you play. Ranked by the situation most readers are in:

4-card postflop study: GTO Wizard PLO or PLO Mastermind. Both carry complete postflop libraries, and both are the expensive end of this list.
5-card play: PLO Gecko (ours), Vision GTO Trainer, Range Converter, or PLO Genius. For 6-card, Vision, Range Converter, and PLO Genius are the options.
Reps on a phone: PLO Gecko (ours) or PLO+. Neither sells a desktop-style postflop library, which is why they cost a fraction of the platforms above.
Building sims nobody else has: MonkerSolver, at a one-time EUR 499 license.

Before comparing feature lists, answer these four questions about your own game.

Postflop or preflop? Postflop libraries are the expensive part. If you cannot yet name your button opening range at 100bb, you are paying for solutions you will not open.
Browse or be tested? A range viewer answers questions. A trainer asks them. They are not the same product.
Which device? Desktop solvers need a machine and setup time. Browser platforms and phone apps trade custom solving for ten-minute study blocks.

PLO Gecko (formerly PLO Edge)

A phone-first Omaha trainer with scoring attached, and our own app, so treat this section as a description rather than a review. PLO Gecko runs on iOS and Android and covers both 4-card and 5-card PLO, switchable in one tap with progress tracked separately per variant. It ships 31 structured training modules across RFI, facing opens, 3-bet pots, 4-bet pots, squeezes, blind defense, and short-stack play, 14 of them dedicated PLO5 preflop modules, with PLO5 preflop ranges solved at 100bb.

Feedback is per decision: every choice is scored against solver-based GTO frequencies and EV, with move quality graded from perfect to blunder, an ELO rating with more than 30 ranks, and hand filters by suitedness class from rainbow through monotone. Postflop, it trains flop, turn, and river decisions in solver-built single-raised pots, and PLO5 full-hand drills run from flop to river with native river solving on iPhone and iPad. It does not build custom postflop trees the way desktop solvers do, and we do not claim that. Premium sells as a monthly or yearly subscription, and the app holds 4.5 stars on the US App Store as of August 2026.

PLO Mastermind

The deepest dedicated Omaha platform on this list, and the most expensive. Its pricing page lists more than 1 million 4-card solutions covering cash, MTT, ICM, live 8-max and heads-up, plus more than 100,000 5-card solutions.

The trainer includes preflop and flop matrix views, flop and turn aggregated reports, flop-to-river training, a postflop equity graph, range import and export, and browser-based turn and river solving. It also imports MonkerSolver files, which matters if you already own sims.

As of August 3, 2026 the 4-card PLO Trainer is listed at $199 per month, or $149 per month billed yearly (a single payment of $1,790). The PLO Mastermind System adds a 30-day study plan and 250-plus coaching videos with two new ones weekly at $249 per month. A combined 4-card and 5-card trainer is $299 per month, and the full combined system with 500-plus videos is $399 per month.

A professional's tool at a professional's price. If a month costs less than one buy-in at your stake, the depth is real. Below that, the video library is doing more for you than the solution count.

GTO Wizard PLO

The strongest 4-card postflop library here, and no help at all if you play 5-card. GTO Wizard added a standalone Omaha product in 2026 and has iterated on it quickly. Its PLO page describes complete postflop coverage across every flop, turn, and river, with cash solutions at 6-max and 7-max for 50bb and 100bb, and MTT chip EV solutions from 10bb to 100bb with antes.

PokerNews reported a major update on July 28, 2026 that added fully customizable heads-up solving from preflop to river, nodelocking so you can model and exploit specific opponent mistakes, and postflop ICM with configurable prizes, stacks, and bounties.

The important limitation for many readers is variant coverage. Their own FAQ states the product covers 4-card PLO for cash and tournaments, and that "PLO5 and PLO6 are in development with no ETA at this time." Plans are split into Free, Premium, and Elite, with custom solving reserved for Elite. Vision GTO Trainer (Run It Once)

Vision is the longest-running dedicated PLO study tool here and the only one on this list with plans for all three Omaha variants. Run It Once's Vision page and FAQ state it runs entirely in the browser with no solver or powerful PC required, and that all solutions were generated in MonkerSolver.

Coverage is specific and published: more than 30,000 boards for 4-card plans and more than 10,500 for 5-card plans, with 5-card spots at 100bb (6-max and heads-up) and 50bb (6-max). Four preflop rake levels run from below PL100 up to above PL600, and postflop rake is modeled on PokerStars 500 Zoom at 5 percent with a 1200msb cap.

Two features stand out. Vision includes exploitative solutions for 4-card 6-max against three player profiles (Maniac, Nit, and Whale), and Custom mode lets you upload your own MonkerSolver sims and study them in Vision's interface. The 6-card plan adds a hand history uploader that grades your preflop decisions and sends you back to those exact spots.

Listed monthly pricing on August 3, 2026 was $199.99 for 4-card, $249.99 for the 5-card plan (which includes 6-card), and $329.99 for the combined 4, 5 and 6-card plan, with a stated 10 percent saving on quarterly billing and 25 percent on yearly.

Range Converter

The cheapest route to 5-card and 6-card solutions if you also study other formats. Range Converter is a general GTO platform rather than an Omaha specialist, and its pricing page shows both paid tiers including Cash, MTT, Shortdeck, PLO, PLO5, PLO6, and Spins.

The Reg tier includes the GTO trainer and the preflop range viewer. Pro adds full postflop strategy in the range viewer, a strategy-react view, and aggregated reports. A free plan covers the range viewer for 15bb heads-up ranges plus a trainer demo. Listed prices were running a promotional discount when we checked on August 3, 2026 (Reg at $29 per month and Pro at $99 per month billed monthly), so read the page rather than this paragraph.

PLO Genius

A cloud PLO solver and trainer covering 4-card, 5-card, and 6-card Omaha. It combines a precomputed preflop library across stack sizes, positions, and rake structures with a postflop solver for flop, turn, and river, plus on-demand custom solves, aggregated reports, and the ability to import your own MonkerSolver simulations.

It is browser only, and their site says mobile support is in development but not yet available. Plans on August 3, 2026 were a free Starter tier with limited preflop calculations, Edge at $59 per month or $708 per year, and PRO at $125 per month or $1,500 per year, with PLO6, on-demand solving, and imports gated to PRO. That is on-demand solving at roughly half the monthly cost of the specialist platforms, with a smaller coaching ecosystem around it.

MonkerSolver

Not a trainer at all, and worth understanding because so much of this list runs on it. MonkerSolver is desktop software that solves Hold'em and Omaha from any street with any number of players, using a fully customizable betting tree.

The full version is a one-time EUR 499 license, with a free version limited to turn and river. It needs Windows 64-bit or macOS with at least 8 GB of RAM, and the size of trees you can solve scales with the RAM you have while solve time scales with CPU speed.

Buy it if you want solutions nobody else has and will spend hours on tree construction. Everyone else is better served by a platform that already ran the sims, which is what Run It Once, PLO Mastermind, and PLO Genius each describe doing.

PLO+ (Crafty Wheel Studios)

A lighter iOS option focused on preflop, free to download with subscription in-app purchases. The App Store listing describes solved preflop strategies for cash at 30bb, 50bb, and 100bb across major sites with different rake structures, plus tournament chip EV ranges at multiple depths.

It includes hand lookup for any 4-card holding, interactive training with feedback, a leaderboard, and a coach mode for sharing custom sims with a stable. It carries a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 39 ratings at version 3.5.4, and the listing does not mention PLO5.

What Should You Check Before Subscribing?

Check the rake model, the stack depths, and the variant before anything else. Those three decide whether the solutions apply to your game at all, and all three are usually buried in an FAQ rather than on the sales page.

Rake model. An Omaha range solved at PL2000 rake is wrong for your PL50 game, especially from the blinds.
Stack depths. Confirm the depths you actually play are in the library, not just 100bb.
Variant. Read the FAQ, not the homepage. Several 4-card platforms describe PLO5 as "in development".
Trainer versus viewer. If the product only shows you solutions, you will read without testing recall, which is the slowest way to learn a range.

Why is PLO software more expensive than Hold'em software?

Omaha has 270,725 four-card starting combinations against 1,326 in Hold'em, so each solve is dramatically more expensive in compute and storage. That cost shows up in subscription prices, and it is why usable Omaha postflop libraries arrived years after Hold'em ones.

Can I use these on a phone?

PLO Gecko and PLO+ are native mobile apps. Vision, GTO Wizard, Range Converter, and PLO Mastermind run in a browser and describe mobile-friendly views. PLO Genius states mobile support is in development. MonkerSolver is desktop only.

Start With the Spot You Play Most

The best PLO trainer is the one you open on a Tuesday night. Pick the cheapest tool covering your variant and stack depth, drill one position until the range is automatic, and only pay for a postflop library once preflop is no longer the thing costing you money.
